MVP BetaEvidence-basedMedia-agnostic

Digital media isno longer simplyreal or fake.

TRST is an evidence interpretation system for digital media. It produces clear Investigation Briefs using the DAI Methodology™.

Upload an image or paste a direct image URL to evaluate provenance signals, forensic evidence, known history, reference comparison, media-form observations, and claim context.

MVP beta

TRST is currently in MVP beta.

Results are experimental and intended for research, editorial review, and investigative support. TRST does not certify truth, guarantee authenticity, replace provenance standards, or replace professional forensic, legal, or editorial judgment.

What TRST does

Built around evidence, not one detector.

TRST combines multiple evidence families, then explains what the evidence supports, what it does not support, and what remains uncertain.

Provenance and Content Credentials when available
File and metadata signals
Synthetic-generation indicators
Processing and modification evidence
Known online history
Reference comparison
Media-form observations
Media and claim context

Interpret evidence families

TRST evaluates provenance when available, metadata, media-form signals, synthetic-generation indicators, processing evidence, known history, and reference comparisons.

Produce a short Investigation Brief

TRST turns many signals into a clear assessment, confidence level, evidence summary, and limitations that people can read quickly.

Preserve uncertainty

TRST explains what the evidence supports, what it does not support, and what cannot be determined from the available file.

Why this matters

Responsible media assessment needs more than one score.

Digital media can be captured, edited, compressed, screenshotted, recomposed, generated, reposted, and redistributed. A responsible assessment cannot rely on a single detector or a simple binary label.

TRST is designed for people who need fast, evidence-based clarity before making editorial, investigative, reputational, or communication decisions.

TRST and Content Credentials

TRST is designed to complement emerging provenance standards such as C2PA and Content Credentials. Content Credentials help explain where a file came from. TRST helps explain what the available evidence supports.

TRST is not trying to replace provenance standards. It is designed to interpret provenance alongside other evidence.

Built for

  • Journalists and editors
  • Researchers and investigators
  • Communications teams
  • Civic and nonprofit organizations
  • Brand and reputation teams

DAI Methodology™

Powered by Digital Authenticity Intelligence.

Digital Authenticity Intelligence, or DAI, is an evidence-based approach for evaluating what available signals support about digital media.

Confidence is earned through the systematic reduction of relevant uncertainty.

TRST applies this methodology to evaluate media across several evidence areas rather than relying on one score, one detector, or one binary verdict.

Content Credentials help establish provenance. TRST helps interpret what the total evidence supports.

Trust boundaries

What TRST does not claim.

TRST does not certify absolute truth.

TRST does not guarantee that media is authentic or inauthentic.

TRST does not replace C2PA, Content Credentials, or other provenance standards.

TRST does not treat missing credentials as proof of falsity.

TRST does not treat credentials as proof that a claim is true.

TRST does not replace professional forensic, legal, or editorial judgment.

TRST assesses the submitted media file based on the available evidence at the time of analysis.

New evidence may change an assessment.

Founder

Built byGerardo Garcia-Jurado

Gerardo created TRST because misinformation is not only a content problem; it is a trust problem. Fake, altered, reused, cropped, generated, and decontextualized media can shape what people believe before anyone has time to ask what the file actually supports.

His view is that digital media should not be forced into a simple real-or-fake answer. A responsible assessment has to look at context, file history, metadata, forensic signals, AI indicators, online history, and the limits of what can be known. That led him to define Digital Authenticity Intelligence: a practical discipline for reducing uncertainty around media so people can make better-informed decisions.

TRST was created to sit above individual detectors and provenance tools. Its goal is to organize evidence into a clear, responsible assessment that humans can understand and challenge.

Gerardo Garcia-Jurado is an award-winning creative director with extensive experience in marketing and branding, as well as a longtime technology enthusiast and AI early adopter. TRST.center is the first app built around the DAI Methodology™: an evidence interpretation system for assessing what available media evidence supports.
